The La Royale Standard
The Group takes its name from the Bugatti Type 41 Royale, built in Molsheim, France, the hometown of our founder. Created by Ettore Bugatti in the 1920s, La Royale was built around uncompromising quality, precision and enduring value. Those principles continue to shape the standard we set for the businesses we build and back.
The name is more than a reference to an automotive icon. It reflects an approach to building businesses with ambition, discipline and enduring value. From the way opportunities are assessed to the way businesses are developed, the Group looks beyond short-term performance to the quality and potential that can be built over time.
Investment Milestones
2008
Joan Beaufort founded Rainmaker, the first business that would later form part of La Royale Group’s marketing technology portfolio.
2014
Lancaster Investment is founded in Luxembourg, with investments across gaming, fintech and real estate, reflecting the Group's early diversification across sectors.
2021
Global Star Finance is acquired in London, establishing the Group’s regulated fintech presence through a licensed electronic money institution.
2023
La Royale Investments is established in Singapore.
2025
La Royale Investments is rebranded as La Royale Group, reflecting its evolution into a unified investment holding group.
